Quick Fact of the Day

If the Canucks are able to pick up a win against the red hot Hurricanes, it will be their fourth straight road win of the season, leaving them undefeated away from the Garage.

The last time the Canucks won their first four road games of the year was back in the 1993-94 season.

We all know what happened in ’94.

  2. I dunno about Bure for Pres, but what I do know is that I was mighty pleased with the way the ‘Nucks were playing against the Jackets last night. They had a solid offensive turnout despite the Sedins being relatively quiet, and they proved they had a backup… something that is frighteningly needed right about now, with Luongo still struggling since his knee strain.

Will they beat the ‘Canes? I figure they will! With guys like Kesler and Naslund (did you see that vintage Nazzy goal!?! WOOT!) lighting the lamp, they should be able to take on even the hottest of teams. Do I pick them for Cup contenders yet? Of course not — they’re still just .500 on the stats sheet! All I’m saying is that if they can maintain the pressure by lower-line players, they have a solid offense to go along with what should be the best back end in the league!
